Hohokam Indian petroglyphs at Signal Hill in Saguaro National Park West, dating back to A.D. 900 to 1200, weren't even around when the Hale-Bopp comet last came this close to Earth, about 4,200 years ago. The petroglyphs were made by chipping a large rock with a smaller one. This was a photo and article taken from the Arizona Daily Star.
