Cajeta

(Carmel milk Candy)

 

2 cans condensed milk

Stovetop Method

Remove lables from cans and place cans in water to cover by one inch. Bring water to boil and turn to simmer and let simmer for 3 hours. After 1 1/2 hours, use tongs and turn cans over. Add boiling water to keep tops of can covered. After 3 hours turnoff heat and let cans cool in water.

Remove cans from water. The Cajeta is ready to eat. Serve with slices of tart apple.

Crock Pot Method.

Put cans in crockpot and cover with water up to one inch over top. Turn on crock pot and let water come to a boil. Cook 2 hours. Using tongs, turn over cans and cook two hours longer.

Let cool before handling.
