Our Beliefs
A hunt at the Funderburgh Ranch is "a True Texas Hunting Experience." This experience should be shared with family and friends. We feel that harvesting a quality buck is only a small part of our obligation to our hunters. The staff prides themselves with the ability to make every moment of the hunt educational and enjoyable for all involved. We want every hunter to be prepared to have fun during his or her brief visit. We also believe in truth in advertising. Photos in the 2001 Hunt Album are ALL the bucks harvested in the 2001 season.

The Funderburgh Ranch consists of over 10,000 low-fenced acres. We offer a 100% fair chase hunt. Our average buck is a 16" 8 pt with a 120 B & C score. We have a 1-2 Buck to Doe ratio with a deer density of one deer per 8.5 acres. To ensure buck quality, we harvest only 24 mature bucks each year. With deer poplulations this high, every hunter will see several quality deer each day. Past hunters say, "Do not shoot the first buck you see."

 
We are located 120 miles South of San Angelo, Texas or 30 South of Sonora, Texas and Interstate Highway 10. The Funderburgh Ranch is in a transition zone between the Edwards Plateau and the Texas Hill Country ( Northeast Val Verde County).
